Back by Demand: “Fraud Defense – True Stories. Real Scams.” Returns Sept. 3

Scammers don’t take breaks—and neither do we. After drawing over 170 attendees last year, the hard-hitting community event “Fraud Defense: True Stories. Real Scams.” is back for a second round, and it’s bigger, bolder, and more important than ever.

  • Wednesday, September 3, 2025
  • 6:00–7:30 PM
  • Theatre on the Bay, 750 W Bay Shore Street, Marinette, WI

This free, one-night-only event brings together a powerhouse line-up of financial experts and law enforcement to expose how scams really happen—and how you can stop them. Whether it’s a phone call, email, or social media message, fraud is evolving fast. “Fraud Defense” arms attendees with real-world tools to fight back.

Meet This Year’s Emcee: Erin Davisson

Erin is a familiar face to many—she spent 32 years as a trusted anchor and reporter at WFRV Green Bay before retiring in 2020. In 2021, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association honored her as a Local Broadcast Legend in recognition of her outstanding career. Now a resident of the Wausaukee area, Erin stays active in the community by volunteering with several organizations, including Friends of the Wausaukee Library. With her clear delivery, quick wit, and genuine rapport, Erin will guide our evening—turning complex fraud tactics into practical, take-home strategies.
